I had another great day bringing you all the best country and bluegrass music today, only on 103-FXD! We heard from Steve Earle with his song “Copperhead Road” for today’s Outlaw Cut, plus I brought you some new alternative country songs as well!
My first guest on today’s show was the one and only Walt Noa of the Black Duck Hunting Preserve! He had a really special report for us today. Walt is out in North Dakota on his annual bird hunting report, and he told us all about how things are going out West. He had several reports for pheasant and grouse, as well as his predictions for how the rest of the season will turn out in the U.P.

For today’s second Outdoor Report, I spoke with Chris from Caddis Shack Guide Service out of Escanaba, MI. He was super-excited to bring us a couple of excellent fishing reports for river fishing for trout and salmon in Lake Michigan and Lake Superior tributaries. He had some great tips for fishermen on how to make the best of the current conditions and how to catch more salmon and trout.
On today’s Big Boy Sports Recap, Steve and I talked about a bunch of different sports topics. The big news was of course the past weekend’s NFL games, and there was plenty to talk about. We discussed the first Green Bay Packers loss of the season, as well as the Detroit Lions’ embarrassing loss in London. We also discussed game 5 of the World Series, as the KC Royals took the win over the NY Mets to win the World Series. Finally, we got into some NHL news as well!
