Chris and I chatted about how the recent cool weather has been effecting the fishing reports in the Gladstone. We got mixed reports for recent walleye, bass and perch fishing, but purple and orange seem to be the hot colors right now! Chris also mentioned also mentioned there is a young angler tournament this Saturday. Winners receive a brand new boat! George Lindquist, the Vice President of the Michigan United Conservation Clubs caught up with us on the show today as well. First we got an update on wolves being removed from the endangered species list. The situation is pretty iffy, but there is much effort to get wolves off the list. Despite the wolves being on the endangered species list, George mentioned the deer populations a looking great, and it’s a great year for the deer. In the second half, we transitioned into what’s going on with the Moose population.
