It was another awesome day here on the Outdoor Show, and I had a chance to play some great country and bluegrass music for you, only on 103-FXD! We had the one and only Charlie Daniels Band with their ever-popular song “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” for our Outlaw Cut of the day, and we got to hear some new alternative country as well!
On my first Outdoor Report for today, I had a chance to catch-up with Greg, from Paradise Recreational Sports, which is located in Paradise, MI, Northeast of Newberry. They’re having a lot of the same weather we’ve been having, and that’s made things difficult for snowmobilers in Greg’s area. The warm weather and lack of snow have put a damper on the beginning of the season, but we talked about how the rest of the season is looking. We also found some time to discuss some walleye and steelhead fishing as well!
I spoke with Jack in Chassell, MI from Dan’s Recreation and Motorsports on the Keweenaw Peninsula. They’ve had a lot more snow than we’ve had in Marquette, and Jack talked with me about how the current trail conditions are for snowmobiling all around Houghton and the Keweenaw Peninsula.
On today’s Big Boy Sports Recap, Steve Whelan and I had a ton of sports news to talk about. We discussed the Detroit Lion latest win during Monday Night Football and some other NFL news. Then we moved on to the Detroit Red Wings news, and we finished-up today’s show talking about the Forbes’ valuations for college football teams.
