Today was my second day back on the air on 103-FXD!
We played some great bluegrass music from the Lonesome River Band, and had a huge response from our Outlaw Cut, when we spun “Ring of Fire” by Johnny Cash.
For the first outdoor report, I gave Jim a call at Marble’s Outlet on US-2 in Gladstone, to talk about fly fishing on the Escanaba river. I hadn’t personally been on the rivers in the U.P. in over a week, as I returned from fishing the Au Sable River downstate for the Hex hatch, so I wanted to know what was happening specifically on the Escanaba River, and other area streams. You can hear that interview here:

Today’s show had a Delta County theme apparently, after I called Chris from Bay View Bait & Tackle in Gladstone for our second outdoor report of the day. We talked about pike, perch, smallmouth bass, and of course, the walleye fishing, all on Little Bay De Noc. You can hear that interview here:

We had some technical problems during the sports report today, so we don’t have that clip to play here today. We replayed yesterday’s report, but Steve and I will be back live tomorrow!
I’ll be on the air on 103.3FM, as well as streaming on WFXD.com every weekday from 3-7. If you have any requests while I’m on the air you can call or text the FXD studio line at 361-9393!
