Attention Marquette County residents!!! Your Salvation Army of Marquette needs YOUR Help!!! Their food pantry has been depleted to an All Time LOW LEVEL!!! Your Salvation Army is always there helping the people of your community – NOW it is time to help the Salvation Army with their much needed Emergency Food Drive.
The Salvation Army is collecting canned and dry good foods to re-stock their pantry this week from Monday, August 27th to Saturday, Sept. 1st. Great Lakes Radio is spreading the word that the Salvation Army would like to reach a pantry goal that they have never reached before – 14,000 pounds of food!!!
Items needed are:
Soup, stew, chili
Mac & cheese
cereal, rice, beans
Canned fruits & vegetables
Canned tuna, chicken, salmon
Peanut butter & jelly
Each day this week, I will check in with the Salvation Army to monitor the progress of the Food Drive and gauge daily results on our meter – let’s help the Salvation Army reach their goal!!!
Drop off your donations to the Salvation Army, located 1009 Baraga Avenue in Marquette or call the Salvation Army for more information, 226-2241.
