NBC recently announced that Carrie Underwood will be the new voice singing their theme song for “Sunday Night Football.” Faith Hill, who sang from 2007 – 2012 said that it was time to pass the torch to someone new. Pink performed for the first season NBC started this theme back in 2006.
Word has it that Underwood will perform “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night,” an adaptation of Joan Jett’s “I Hate Myself for Loving You,” live on September 8th at the network’s NFL season opener, when the Dallas Cowboys play the New York Giants.
