The 48th Annual CMA Awards gave fans plenty of musical entertainment during the presentation but a special appearance was made by the Doobie Brothers. Playing their hit single, “Takin’ It To The Street”, which was featured in their latest recording, “Southbound”.

Joining the group on stage were Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles, Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott and Hunter Hayes. Not usually wearing a hat, DB’s Patrick Simmons was sporting a cowboy hat and John McVie played the banjo.

“Southbound” was released on November 4th.
