Silver Creek Church in Harvey is prepped and ready for their 5th Annual Block Party this Saturday, Aug. 18th from noon to 3 p.m. This “party with a purpose” will enable people to connect face to face as they meet and establish friendships.
There will be food, face painting, games, inflatables, prizes. 41 West will be playing music in the parking lot.
Lowe’s will provide a build and grow with small hammers for kids. Michael’s will have “make it take it” craft projects
Silver Creek Church has been working toward a goal of collecting 250 school backpacks with supplies for kids heading back to school. There will be a Children’s’ Clothing Give-away for boys and girls of varying ages needing back -to -school items.
There will be displays and representation from 31 different non-profit organizations in the county present to discuss their mission statements with the public. All are welcome to attend!!!
