Multi-platinum award-winning country star, Trace Adkins, will serve as the spokesperson for the 2012 American Red Cross Holiday Giving Campaign.
In supporting the Red Cross campaign, Adkins is encouraging people to look beyond material gifts this holiday season and instead consider giving charitable donations, sending cards for military heroes or donating life-saving blood.
The Red Cross giving campaign features an online catalog that enables people to make a tax-deductible charitable donation this holiday season that help provide items such as food and shelter for disaster victims, military comfort kits, or basic necessities for families who have lost everything in a disaster. It also encourages people to make a blood donation during the holiday season.
Other country music artists serving on the Red Cross Celebrity Cabinet are Sara Evans, Rascal Flatts, Amy Grant, Wynonna, Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker.
