ny people…choose wisely!
From a nutritional perspective, most studies will conclude that white meat is healthier than dark differing only from the varied vitamins found in each. Calorie wise – white has less but only slightly, but that is a mute point…who’s counting calories on Thanksgiving?
I personally find dark meat more naturally flavorful than white meat and also more moist. However, I won’t pass up white meat if I’m going back for seconds and that’s all that is left, but the gravy has to be thick and hearty tasting. (but I would already have determined my grade for the gravy from the puddle i sampled on my mashed potatoes!
