My brother Kevin is a sports buff; he loves the Packers and he’s always enjoyed baseball. Last night, I called him to touch base with him concerning plans for our family get together in July. Kevin and his family have lived in Kenosha for three decades and on his wife’s FB game, I’ve seen pictures posted of him and his family enjoying a game at Miller Park.
I mentioned to Kevin that our sister, Alyce wanted to catch a Brewers’ game when we got together. It’s been quite a long time since I’ve been to a big league game and I know my wife has never experienced an afternoon with “the Boys of summer”. We thought the idea would be fun for all of us.
Always looking for a chance to be the family “Funny Man”, I ask my brother;
“Where can I get a Stan Ross tee shirt?”
“Who?!
“Stan Ross – he’s the boss!”
“What?!
You know; Stan Ross – “no Hall of Fame, it’s a damn shame!”
I said, “Bernie Mac in the movie, Mr. 3,000 – he played first base for the Brewers.”
My brother had NO CLUE what I was talking about.
He asks, “Is it on NetFlix’s?” Kevin, you have homework for this weekend. Rent the movie!!!! Bro, you’ve been spending too much time watching the Golf Channel!
Kevin has always thought he could quote more dialogue lines from the movie, “Cool Hand Luke”; his favorite flick.
Will I have fun with Kevin the next time I call him!!!
