Marquette, Michigan – September 12th, 2015 – Eric and I were back to the 103-FXD studio on Saturday night to bring you American Country Gold on 103-FXD and WFXD.com! We both decided to take last Saturday night off for the Labor Day Weekend. I was a little bored last Saturday night not being behind the microphone so I was glad to be back to my routine of spinning classic country all night long from 7pm to Midnight!
I wished ‘Cookie’ Johnson of Negaunee a happy birthday in the 9pm (eastern) hour on Saturday night. I sent out my hit “Kick Up My Heels” especially for Cookie Johnson from her son Andy and his family in Negaunee. I would like to mention that Cookie is a big fan of mine; she’s been listening to American Country Gold since the beginning! Cookie also dropped by the 103-FXD studio on Saturday night to meet me in person. It was nice to meet you, Cookie. Happy Birthday!
Even though Labor Day Weekend and summer (for the most part) is behind us, I still received many calls from camps and campgrounds all across the Upper Peninsula. I received several calls from Van Riper State Park in Champion. I was told that there’s a crew that listened around the firepit for the full 5 hours! Thanks for listening over there at Van Riper State Park!
I was glad to be back on track Saturday night with my show! Make sure you give me a call next Saturday, September 19th between 6:45pm and Midnight on 103-FXD! Call me during the week and leave a message for Eric at 361-WFXD, that’s 361-9393 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to friend me on my Facebook page here.
Recognized by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters – American Country Gold with Elmer Aho on 103-FXD and WFXD.com!
