11/15/2014 Marquette, Michigan USA — Deer Hunter’s Round-Up began in 2014 with a bang with Elmer Aho and American Country Gold on 103-FXD! From stories about Elmer’s hunting past, to playing “Da Turdy Point Buck” by Da Yoopers, to sending out requests and dedications from camps listening all over the U.P. and Northern Wisconsin – Deer Hunter’s Round-Up with Elmer Aho couldn’t be beat!
Camps from the Dead River Basin to County Road 581 West of Ishpeming called in and reported their Deer Kills for the start of the firearm Deer Season. It was quite a start, too! Elmer Aho was very surprised by how many deer kills were reported on Saturday night. In fact, Elmer’s great Nephew Jake scored an eight pointer on Saturday at deer camp. On top of that, several hunter’s called in and said they had to snowshoe to camp!
Swen and Paul both bagged their trophy bucks, too! Congratulations to Swen and Paul! You certainly deserved it!
Elmer Aho also took time out in the 10pm (eastern) hour to salute our Veteran’s for their service! Last Tuesday, November 11th, 2014 was Veteran’s Day. Since American Country Gold with Elmer Aho didn’t fall on Veteran’s Day, Elmer Aho took the time out and played 5 War songs in honor of ALL our Veteran’s across the World! Thank you for your service!
Deer Hunter’s Round-Up with Elmer Aho will continue next Saturday, November 22nd from 7pm to Midnight on 103-FXD and WFXD.com! Have a great week, and a (safe) and successful hunt from Elmer Aho!
Recognized by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters – American Country Gold with Elmer Aho on 103-FXD!
