Marquette, Michigan – April 30th, 2016 – It’s the last day of the month and that means I wasn’t answering phone calls during my show. Why? Because it was Elmer’s Pick Night on American Country Gold with me, Elmer Aho right here on 103-FXD and WFXD.com. I was able to play that song for Lori listening in National Mine on Saturday night. Lori called last week for her request, I just didn’t have time to play it last Saturday night during American Country Gold on 103-FXD. Thanks for your patience, Lori!
Elmer’s Pick Night only comes once a month–12 times for the entire year! Most of you enjoy the songs that I play during Elmer’s Pick Night. I’m able to dig up songs that I haven’t played in a very long time. I’m also able to play those songs that have piled up over the past couple of months that you requested during the show.
We have a very big event coming up on Thursday, May 5th and Friday, May 6th. It’s the St. Jude Radiothon, brought to you by Hardee’s on 103-FXD. Each year the staff here at 103-FXD dedicates 24 hours to finding cures and saving children at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Both days from 6am to 6pm you’re going to hear story songs, hear from the patients and families at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. St. Jude is very special to me and I plan on joining in and being a part of the St. Jude Radiothon on Friday, May 6th. We encourage you to become a Partner in Hope during the Hardee’s St. Jude Radiothon on Thursday, May 5th and Friday, May 6th.
