Enjoy Films/Documentaries at the Michigan Iron Industry Museum this weekend!
The Museum will present: “Lumberjack Life: U.P. Days of Yore”.
Negaunee, Michigan — It’s going to be a great weekend to be indoors in Marquette County. In Western Marquette County the Michigan Iron Industry Museum in Negaunee will host a Sunday Matinee movie series titled “Lumberjack Life: U.P. Days of Yore” this Sunday, October 30th at 1:30pm at the Museum in Negaunee Township (73 Forge Road).
The documentary gives an account of the men and women who worked right here in the Upper Peninsula’s lumber industry, beginning in the late 19th century through today! This is an Emmy award-winning documentary that was featured on WNMU-TV 13 in Marquette.
You can enjoy light refreshments as they will be served. Admission is always free to the event, and donations are encouraged. There’s plenty to do this weekend across Marquette County and Upper Michigan! With the forecast possibly calling for rain/snow mix this weekend and highs in the mid 40’s….it couldn’t be better to spend your Sunday indoors at the Michigan Iron Industry Museum in Negaunee Township.
