5/2/2012 (TheBoot.com) — Carrie Underwood proves once again she could be a supermodel as a second career, gracing the cover of Glamour magazine‘s May issue with her gorgeous face and figure. The country superstar wears everything from a football jersey to a 1950s-inspired spring dress in the mag’s colorful photo spread, complimented by a candid interview.
Carrie, who is the most successful “American Idol” alum to date, tells Glamour that being rich and famous doesn’t hurt the authenticity of her songs. “It would be very hard to write about my Louboutins … my giant house, it’s not relatable,” she says. “But my husband came from a small town and hardworking parents like I did, and I don’t think we’ve lost that mind-set. We don’t have a bowling alley in our basement. We don’t have houses on the beach and one in New York and one in L.A. I drive a 3-year-old Ford Escape Hybrid. We don’t care about stuff like that.”
