Marquette, Michigan – September 28th, 2015 – I usually don’t like to complain but my goodness! This past weekend on my way to the station on Saturday night for American Country Gold with Elmer Aho I was almost hit twice by two careless Marquette County drivers! As I was driving out of Ishpeming someone pulled right out in front of me by the Holiday Gas Station. I had to slam my breaks… literally.
Then, when I got to Marquette someone pulled out in front of me by Best Buy. Yes, there’s a new stop light there but apparently someone doesn’t know the difference between green and red. Again, I had to slam my breaks in front of Best Buy. So, in the same day, had I not been paying close attention I would’ve ended up side-swiping a Marquette County driver.
This doesn’t happen very often but I was a little irritated. It’s a good thing there are good drivers who pay close attention and close watch for the careless drivers. I realize there’s a lot of road work going on between Ishpeming and Marquette on U.S. 41 (which is like driving on air!)
Please, Marquette County drivers, pay close attention to what’s going on when you’re behind the wheel! You just might save your life and someone else’s life…
