Marquette, Michigan – November 13th – It’s Friday the 13th and I was creeped out this morning when I walked out my front door. Is my home cursed? Where did this white stuff come from? I haven’t even bought a snowblower and we get wet, heavy snow over the higher terrain in Marquette County. What’s going on? Wait a minute…. every yard and every home up and down my block has some of the white stuff on it. It appears that my home isn’t cursed this Friday the 13th. The whole town of Ishpeming’s cursed!
Rain turned over to snow last night. The Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through the afternoon today… Friday the 13th. Well, at least I can say that we’re not going to get 3 feet of wet, heavy snow like we did last year at about this time.
I laughed when I drove into Marquette this morning. Very little snow once you get close to Lake Superior. Most of my co-workers live in the Marquette area with the exception of a few. So, they didn’t get the snow curse like Ishpeming and Negaunee did.
Be sure to drive safely into work and school this morning. The roads are somewhat slippery and wet this morning. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time between you and the vehicle in front on you this morning. Stay tuned to 103-FXD and WFXD.com as we’ll have any closings and cancellations during the news with Sir Walt Lindala.
