Ishpeming, MichiganFebruary 2nd, 2016 – I haven’t talked about it much, but recently my family’s dog, Buffy, passed away several weeks ago. Buffy WAS a family member. Buffy was loved like a family member, and Buffy was always there… from camping to taking a walk around the neighborhood, you could always count on Buffy to be by your side.

Buffy passed away in early January. It’s been a very difficult time for my family. Buffy was 18.5 years old. She was a Pekingese and Poodle mix. She passed away suddenly… it was completely unexpected. It’s like a spear going straight through your heart when you lose a pet. This was the very first time we ever went through anything like this.

What we DO have is memories that we will never fade away of Buffy. 18.5 years of being a shadow to the family. We couldn’t have asked for a better pooch. Buffy was sweet, caring, and was VERY easy going. I was 12 years old when my dad brought Buffy home in 1997. She was just a pup in 1997. Wow.. I still can’t believe that was over 18 years ago! Buffy was extremely sweet. She was cremated a couple weeks ago. We will never forget you, Buffy. We will always love you.
