Ishpeming, Michigan – September 26th, 2016 – I found this a bit disturbing. When I woke up last Monday morning and walked down to my basement I found a mound of chewed up acorns at the top of my steps. This wasn’t there the night before. Was some critter leaving a “gift” for me? Was it a message from the Chipmunks that they’re attempting to make my home their home? Or was it simply just left their for another Chipmunk?
I noticed a couple weeks ago under my side porch that Chipmunks have been running inside and out. I tried to block the hole they were going through but that didn’t work so well. I’m assuming that somehow they may be getting into my house. I immediately pulled out good ol’ reliable Google to try and figure out a way to get rid of Chipmunks in your basement. Naturally there were millions upon millions of ways to get rid of these pesky critters!
While I’m not positive these acorns are from Chipmunks I’m pretty sure that they are. I know it can’t be mice. What would mice want to do with pieces of acorns? Either way, this needs to be taken care of asap. I never invited these critters into my home. Do you have any home remedies on how to get rid of Chipmunks in your basement? I don’t know about you, but they’re certainly not welcome in my household!
