3/16/2015 Marquette, Michigan — Does your dog absolutely LOVE popcorn? My family’s pooch, Buffy, who will be 18 years old (nearly 100 in doggy years) this coming summer and she still can’t get enough of popcorn! Ever since she was a puppy, beginning in 1997, she’s always lived to eat, rather than eat to live. She has cataracts, and has a hard time hearing–but hey, she’s nearly 100 years old so she has a VERY good excuse. Buffy is a mix of Pekingese and Poodle. She still has her sense of smell, just terrible eye-sight and hearing. She weighs about 9-10 pounds, and still can’t get enough of popcorn.
Then there’s Pearl, the talking Samoyed. Pearl is a VERY friendly dog, and just loves kids. Pearl is about 7 years old, less than half of Buffy’s age. In doggy years, Pearl is about 55 years old. Pearl loves to talk. In fact, whenever she’s hungry OR needs to do her business outside, she’ll immediately look you square in the eyes and start talking to you. It’s really pretty hilarious to watch. Like Buffy, Pearl loves her popcorn
too. Pearl was originally my sister’s dog, but somehow my family ended up taking her in and fell in love with her when my sister no longer had the time to take care of her by herself after my nephew was born.
