3/19/2013 Ocala, Florida — Good afternoon. David Allan Coe was hospitalized this morning (March 19) following a car accident in Ocala, Fla., reports ABC Action News. While rescue crews did have to use extrication equipment to remove the 73-year-old from his 2011 Chevrolet Suburban, he was treated for “non-life threatening conditions.”
According to the Ocala Police Department, the incident occurred this morning around 1:30am, when David failed to stop at a red light on State Road 40. The passenger side of “The Ride” singer’s vehicle was then hit by a 1996 Peterbilt tractor-trailer semi, sending the Suburban into a parking lot at a corner of the intersection.
