
12/2/2014 Marquette Township, Michigan — You enjoyed caroling from the Marquette Redmen Chorale, you enjoyed Santa Claus flipping the switch for the 30 foot Blue Spruce Christmas Tree, you enjoyed cookies and other goodies from Super One Foods and the Westwood Mall, but most of all you enjoyed seeing Mr. Grinch being hauled away by Sergeant Dave and the entire Marquette County Sheriff’s Department! That’s right, you caught the Christmas Spirit in Marquette Township on Tuesday evening starting at 6pm in the Westwood Mall Parking Lot.
The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony began the evening with a visit from Santa Claus in Marquette Township around 6pm. The Marquette Redmen Chorale sang carols, Santa Claus arrived in the Marquette Township Fire Truck around 6pm to flip the switch for the beautiful 30 foot Blue Spruce Christmas Tree donated by a Marquette Township Resident. You enjoyed a night for both you and the kids to get you into the Christmas Spirit in Marquette Township this year!
Wonderful Christmas tunes were also quietly played in the background during the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony provided by

Great Lakes Radio’s brand new station, The Gift 106.1 FM. You also had the opportunity to bring the kids or grand kids into the Westwood Mall from 6:3opm to around 8pm to have their picture taken with Santa Claus. A light snow was falling throughout the evening to top the fun off! This was truly an event the entire family could enjoy!
