Ishpeming, Michigan – October 12th, 2016 – Do they or don’t they? It appears they don’t. I purchased a rather expensive gas additive recently thinking I would boost my gas mileage on my Pontiac Grand Prix. She gets around 26-28 MPG on the highway. Lately, I’ve been disappointed as it appears that my mileage has dropped down to around 24-25 MPG. This is rather unusual considering I never have had mileage this poor.
Are they nothing more than a gimmick? I purchased the Lucas gas additive. It has high ratings online and I even received positive feedback from my dad about it. I figured, what the heck, why not give it a shot. In fact, it seems my mileage has gotten worse since I started using it over a month ago.
I do realize that gas stations have now switched over to winder blend gasoline and that could also be contributing to the problem as well. Either way, I’m disappointed…
What say you?
