Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton? Either Way I’m Worried America is Doomed

Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump? Neither.
Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump? Neither.

Marquette, MichiganOctober 17th, 2016 – Anyone that knows me very well knows I don’t discuss politics or religion. Even with my family. Please keep this in mind when reading my rant about the future of America. 3 months ago I would have told you I would be voting for Donald Trump. I don’t like Hillary Clinton and never will. We’ll leave it at that. I was raised a democrat. I wised up over the years and don’t take either side.

After watching the debate last Sunday, October 9th I’ve turned my back (literally) on both of these knuckleheads. That debate on Sunday night was embarrassing for America and embarrassing for the world. What was that? Was that two 11 year old’s on a school playground or two immature adults that don’t care about what’s at stake? While I do believe that Donald Trump is extremely desperate and will do anything to get a vote at this point, I also believe he doesn’t stand a chance at being our next President. He’s reckless, careless, and probably the most self-centered human being I’ve ever watched. Hillary Clinton isn’t any better, either.

Watching that debate on Sunday made me REALLY start to think about the future of our Country. One of these clowns will steer us into the next 4 years. How they do that is what really frightens me. Their performance on Sunday should give us a clue. While Trump was very reckless at that debate, he was also making a valid point. Bringing up the past of Bill Clinton (I believe) didn’t do Trump a whole lot of good. Obviously his point was to try and remind America–do we really want to go back to the Clinton years? I will leave it at that.

Donald Trump was doing everything he could to divert from his nasty video talking about assaulting women from 2005. He did a good job of doing that. Even throwing the moderators off. But that doesn’t make what he said any better. Bringing up the Hillary Clinton emails (which I’m SICK and TIRED of hearing about) did divert from Trump’s own scandals. What I wanted to hear about is what YOU wanted to hear about. What will you do for us? How are you going to make healthcare more affordable? What will you DO to bring back jobs? Make our economy stronger? Help stop ISIS? It was the same old back and forth on Sunday. Taking stabs at each other. Wait, wasn’t that a town hall debate? I expect the next debate on Wednesday night will be exactly the same.

Instead of giving us what we want, Trump and Clinton continue down a reckless path. One that is shaping our democracy into something we’ve never seen before–and it’s quite scary, really. There are 300+ million people in the United States.. and these two were chosen to lead our Country. Honest Abe is rolling in his grave right now. I wonder what our founding fathers would think of this?

Again, my thoughts. You won’t ever hear me rant about this election again. I don’t agree with either Hillary or Trump. On November 8th when you hit the voting booth keep in mind which one of these candidates will truly Make America Great Again…

My opinion is.. neither one of them will.
