Appleton, Wisconsin – October 15th, 2019 – It felt like an arctic blast this past weekend in Appleton! The snow and sleet came down hard on Saturday and Sunday. It felt like sand grains were hitting your face as the wind blew and sleet came down sideways.
Yes, once again, this past weekend I was down in Appleton visiting my brother. My sister, brother-in-law, and nephews were down in Appleton as well. Always nice to get away to the Fox Valley for the weekend. Much to my surprise I didn’t expect to see measurable snow in Wisconsin! The temperature was in the lower 30’s all weekend long. Turns out, most of the U.P. saw snow as well. I just wasn’t here for it.
This was the very first time I wasn’t in Ishpeming or Marquette for the first snow. No, this time I was in Northeast Wisconsin where I DIDN’T expect it! Wisconsin, you caught me by surprise…
