Negaunee, Michigan – May 25th, 2015 – The rain didn’t put a damper on my Memorial Day evening plans. Even though we were stuck indoors most of Memorial Day due to the rain; I ended up whipping out my Mountain Bike and hitting a few trails. As usual, I took the bike out to the Iron Ore Heritage Trail between Ishpeming and Negaunee. I was anxious to get outside after being stuck indoors most of Memorial Day. I had to pump up the tires, lube up my chain, and place my tin can of water in my bottle holder. I never go anywhere without my tin can.
The clouds were starting to break apart on Monday night in Negaunee. Folks were laughing and enjoying a break from the rain on the Iron Ore Heritage Trail. Apparently I wasn’t the only one that didn’t let the rain put a damper on my plans. It warmed up nicely on Monday night. Heck, even the sun eventually shined over Ishpeming and Negaunee.
I snapped some pictures from my excursion on Monday night. I road a total of 6 miles; that also included Old Towne Negaunee. I went as far as the old Negaunee Mall. My how that place has changed….
…I hope you enjoyed your Memorial Day!
