The Colors Are Stunning in the Copper Country

The Fall Colors in the Copper Country
The Fall Colors in the Copper Country

9/30/2013 Houghton, Michigan — What a weekend it was for fall colors in the Copper Country! I drove up to Houghton on Friday Night and stayed through Saturday. The colors between Champion and Baraga are amazing. If I didn’t know any better, I would say they’re at their peak in some areas.

Between Baraga and Houghton the colors are hit and miss. Once you get north of Hancock, the colors also appear to be at their peak. There are still several areas where there’s plenty of green, too. If you’re planning on checking out the fall colors, I’d recommend taking a drive to the Copper Country this coming weekend. I wouldn’t wait too much longer…
