1/21/2014 Marquette, Michigan — Brace yourself for what could be the worst snow storm of the year! Okay, not really.

That was an exaggeration. However, according to the National Weather Service in Negaunee Township, Michigan, we could see about 6″ of snow OR more from L’Anse to Baraga, through the Huron Mountains and into Northern Marquette County, Michigan. In fact, it doesn’t appear much of the Northern U.P. will dodge this storm.
A Lake Effect Snow Watch remains in effect for Wednesday Afternoon into Thursday Morning. For some reason or another, even though I’ve lived up here my entire life, I still get excited when I hear we’re in for more snow. And I don’t even like snow (very much!)
What bugs me most about the snow is shoveling it. Especially when the plow drives by and you have that mountain of snow in your driveway. Yikes! On the plus side, since it’s going to be so cold, it does look like it’s going to be the ‘fluffy’ stuff. What are you going to do with all that snow?!?
