11/18/2013 Marquette, Michigan — I mean, WOW! What some wind last night across Marquette County and Upper Michigan. I heard wind gusts were in excess of 65 mph last night. The forces were soooo strong on Sunday night that I thought my dog was going to literally blow away. She’s just a small poodle that weighs about 10 lbs, so I certainly had reason to be worried.
Plenty of debris was blowing around last night too. I noticed a lot of plastic bags blowing around in the wind, even some styrofoam from my neighbors back yard blew into my back yard.
If you wanted a great wind storm, you certainly got it in Marquette County in Upper Michigan! I know the winds will keep on howling throughout Monday in Upper Michigan. Hold on to your hats (and dogs) it’s going to be a WILD ride!
