Walking Through the Parking Lot Without a Care in the World

A cop can stop traffic but you shouldn't try and stop traffic.
A cop can stop traffic but you shouldn’t try and stop traffic.

4/6/2015 Marquette, Michigan — We’ve all been there and done that. We’ve all walked through busy parking lots. This past weekend wasn’t an exception for some young fellow in Marquette. I couldn’t believe my eyes on Saturday. Have you ever walked through a parking lot that was busy, wearing headphones, and not paying attention to what was going on in the world around you!? That’s what I thought.

For a young fellow in Marquette the world must revolve around him. As I was driving through the Super One Foods parking lot in Marquette Township on Saturday, a young man was walking through the parking lot with a dark coat and wearing headphones. But, that’s not the worst part. He was looking down WHILE walking through the parking lot holding his hand up to stop traffic. The young man walked right out in front of me expecting me to stop for him. Obviously, to avoid hitting him my first reaction was to hit the breaks. When I stopped he STILL didn’t pay any attention to me. His hand was up and he continued on with his stroll through the parking lot. I couldn’t believe my eyes! Never had I ever encountered anything like this before. I wish I would’ve snapped a picture of him.

It was rather interesting, but extremely dangerous! I should’ve laid on the horn, but who knows if he would’ve heard it!? Try avoiding this young man. Apparently, he’s nearly asking for a car to ram right into him….
