Marquette, MI – July 5, 2017 – Fireworks, beautiful weather, and grilling. Three staples of a great 4th of July.
This year I got to spend some time at the family camp on Sporely Lake. There was a bit of a party going on with family and friends. We could not have asked for a better day of weather, which allowed us to hang outside, play yard games, and of course…grill.
I was put on partial grilling duty, responsible for the chicken kabobs my mom prepared on Monday. So I got the charcoal roasting, some tinfoil over the grate and we got the kabobs cooking. There are few better smells on Earth than that of some good charcoal briquets burning.
The kabobs turned out great. It was my first ever time grilling kabobs, so it was an experience, but thoroughly enjoyable.
All in all it was a fantastic 4th of July. I hope yours was great as well!
