Marquette, MI – November 14, 2019 – Last Saturday I braved the cold simply because I love high school football. I went and sat in the aluminum bleachers at the Playgrounds to watch the Hematites take down Lake Linden en route to a district championship and a spot in this Saturday’s regional against Beal City.
While I won’t be at Mt Pleasant for the game on Saturday, I will be rooting for the Hematites to represent the U.P. in the semifinals. A big congratulations is in order for first year head coach George Niemi for winning a conference title and district title in year 1 – and hopefully there is more.
So good luck to the Heamatites this weekend. U.P. Power!
