Marquette, MI – June 26, 2017 – Last week was a very busy week for me. Interviews for the Island Resort Championship at Sweetgrass, the U.P. Football All-Star Game, and covering the Beacon House Celebrity Golf Classic. While busy, it was a whole lot of fun over at Marquette Golf Club Wednesday and Thursday for the outing.
Wednesday night at the Match Party I was able to talk and interview former NFL Kicker Jay Feely, Marquette native and former NHL player Justin Florek, and former NFL running back Rickey Young. The party was great, a fantastic meal from the Casa Calabria and some great entertainment with awesome people.
Thursday for the actual outing was incredible as well. Me and my show partner from Fox Sports Marquette, Ryan Ranguette, did the Morning Sports Drive live from the course. We then had some breakfast and the fun began. After the teams got sent out we had a chance to catch up with Steve Mariucci at his press conference, then spent the day on the course with the Sunny Boys, who were looking to take the title.
They came up a little short, but it was fun nonetheless. I am already looking forward to next year.
