Marquette, Michigan – November 1, 2016 – Halloween is one of my favorite holidays of the year. I love all the creative costumes that you get to see, and it’s a joy to pretend to be something you are not and have it be socially acceptable. That’s why I was bummed this year when I thought I wasn’t going to be able to celebrate it like I normally do.
While this happened to be the case, as I was not able to celebrate it like normal, I still was able to celebrate it. I had to work at 8am on Sunday morning and I thought my friends would be working this weekend too so I thought it would be a wash. After unforeseen developments however, we were able to get together and still celebrate a little bit.
Me and my pal Jimmy decided to go as Maverick and Goose from the movie Top Gun. We knew some people with the jackets and threw on the aviators. It was a cheap and simple costume, precisely the ones I enjoy most. We had a great time and I saw a lot of great costumes. I got to celebrate Halloween a little bit and still was able to work at 8am Sunday morning.
Another Halloween is in the books, and I’m already looking forward to it next year.
