In four weeks, The Voice returns to NBC. On Friday, Blake Shelton and his fellow coaches on the show — Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green — previewed the upcoming season at a Television Critics Association panel in Pasadena, California.
As previously reported, Blake has selected his wife, Miranda Lambert, as well as Kelly Clarkson as mentors for his team. He says he picked them because they both “survived reality television shows” — Miranda was on Nashville Star, and Kelly won the first season of American Idol. He then joked that another reason both women will appear on The Voice is that “they’re both really hot.”
The Voice kicks off its new season on Sunday, February 5, after NBC’s coverage of the Super Bowl.
