August 23, 2011- Troy Olsen‘s music paints pictures of deserts, tumbleweeds, and small towns because he grew up as an American cowboy on a ranch in Arizona. He has become a well-known favorite in Arizona and New Mexico.
Since a child he has always been obsessed with country music. He begged for his first guitar after hearing music from Dwight Yoakam. He taught himself how to play the guitar and then he began to song write. He started touring at the age of 17 with his first hit, “Summer Thing”.
In 2002 he moved to Nashville hoping to advance his career. He knew that if he left the road and focused on perfecting his song writing and performance, he would become a big hit on the radio.
He has recent song writing credits from the ‘Country Strong’ soundtrack and from Tim McGraw’s latest CD. Troy is off to an impressive start with a great career in country music ahead of him.
You will hear his songs on 103.3 The Country Extreme. If you have any request for his or other country artists please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
