Marquette, MI – Oct. 11, 2011 – National Weather Service Warning Coordinator Meteorologist, Matt Zika, is presenting a Winter Weather Seminar at the Peter White Public Library.
This event will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
This is your opportunity to learn about the challenges of forecasting winter weather in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Zika will also compare last winter to other years and teach the audience how to measure snow accurately.
Zika will present a winter weather outlook and you will receive the inside look at what to expect for this winter in the U.P. Opportunities will also be available to get started with reporting winter weather this blustery winter wonderland season.
