The Eastern Upper Peninsula Intermediate School District, Gogebic Range Health Foundation, and UPCAP Services are receiving support from the State’s Readiness Grant. These grants reflect Michigan’s commitment to help provide rural communities with the resources they need to grow, thrive, and better serve residents. With the funds, the Eastern Upper Peninsula Intermediate School District will assess regional mental health needs, the Gogebic Range Health Foundation will lay groundwork for a multi-purpose community center, and UPCAP Services will establish a Veterans Assistance Fund to provide financial aid for U.P. veterans. All projects are set to be economic drivers and improve the quality of life in the rural U.P. communities.
