My family and I went to Skandia Sunday afternoon to visit my aunt’s from downstate and California. My cousins were also up from downstate.
In mid-conversation, my cousin kept giving my uncle this look with her eyes, like “look over there.”
“It’s our white squirrel,” my uncle said.
Everyone jumped up to see it. The squirrel had a white body and brown tail. Not an albino.

My aunt thinks he wears a white coat, because they shoot all the red squirrels that eat out of the bird feeder.
Coat or not, he’s safe for now!
