Escanaba – March 2, 2013 – The Country Scoop hit the road again this past Saturday, March 2nd, at Tractor Supply Co. in Escanaba this time!
The Hiawathaland Farm Bureau Membership Drive kicked off at 11 a.m. with hotdogs, Jilbert Dairy’s Jilly the Cow was there with TruMoo Chocolate Milk, there were balloons for the kids, and of course TSC had baby chicks!
People filed in and out all day long, getting information on the leadership programs, scholarship opportunities and community events Hiawathaland Farm Bureau takes part in; they’re way more than just insurance!
I was surprised to find out that they do a lot of young farmer conferences and programs for the younger generation of farmers. They enjoy celebrating farming and want to make sure it stays here in the U.P.!
