Ishpeming –08/25/2011 – The final Thursday Night Summer Concert Series held a special presentation from Charlie Anderson, Chairman of the Ishpeming Business Association. Bob Henderson of the Ski Club received a check of $686 from the Business Association. Elaine’s Place and Congress Pizza were the first and second place businesses generating money for the Business Association.
This Saturday, the 27th, come out to the Suicide Bowl on M-28 between Ishpeming and Negaunee for the first 5-K adventure mud run in Marquette County. Run as an individual or as a team of four. Pull yourself through mud pits, brave six different obstacles, and get dirty! Don’t worry, we’ll hose you off after you cross the finish line. $300 cash prize for the first place winner of each category. 12 and under 1-K “Suicide Splash,” complete with mud pits and obstacles also scheduled! Team members must all cross the finish line together with arms locked! So, get your friends together, have a blast pulling each other through the course and get muddy! Registration starts at 8:30 a.m with the first group hitting the course at 10 a.m.
