Sliding Through Baseball Season In the Upper Peninsula
The weather’s warming up and the grass is growing. You know what that means?!
“Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the crowd, buy me some peanuts and apple jacks. I don’t care if I ever get back.” You got it, it’s softball and baseball season!
Get your glove, get your friends, get your kids and go outside to play catch. Enjoy the weather, even go sit and watch a game at the nearest field.
I went to the North Marquette Park fields yesterday to watch my high school team play and to sit in the sun. The wind was actually a bit chilly, but the sun was great!
You can watch teams of all ages right now, from minor leagues, little leagues, legion leagues, and beer leagues it’s sure to be a great time! I was on a beer league, slow pitch team for three years and it was a blast hanging out with friends and getting some exercise. If you have to chance to join a team, do it, or put a team together yourself.
The weather is suppose to be nice the rest of the week, so get those sunglasses and head out to the field. Let me know who you watch and who wins, I like to follow the teams.
