Marquette, Michigan – May 17, 2014 – Major Discount was up early on Saturday as he joined the myriad of celebrities, kids, & fans who showed up to the Superior Dome Saturday morning to attend the Fuel UP Play 60 sponsored by Jilbert Dairy and the NFL! An event that is meant to teach & help kids learn to live a healthy lifestyle by eating right, and being active, Fuel UP Play 60 is a nation wide activity.
Former NFL players were in attendance such as Tony Fisher, former Green Bay Packer & Mr. Football – Ohio, along with Luther Ellis, a former defensive tackle for the Detroit Lions. Some local (and national) celebrities were there too, like Winter Olympian Snowboarder Nick Baumgartner and reigning Dairy Queen Chelsie Kronemeyer of Pickford!

The event was organized by Gordon Mielke, who said he was “very proud” of all the work that went into the day. He was excited to have such an array of high profile people come out to support this great cause. With healthy snacks, drinks (MILK!), and activities, it truly was a great way to spend a Saturday in the Marquette.
We’d like to thank all of our fellow sponsors for this event: UDIM, Tadych’s Econo Foods, Honor Credit Union, SIR Federal Credit Union, The Screened Image, Care Clinic of Marquette, the NFL and of course Jilbert Dairy! We’d also like to thank everybody who put in the volunteer hours to organize the event so that we may build a healthier generation for the future!
