Marquette, MI – May 19, 2017 – We finished out the our second and final day of the 2017 St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Radiothon and it’s all thanks to you! Thank you to our loyal listeners, new Partners in Hope, St. Jude Champions, and Angels of the Hour! This year’s radiothon was very special was we finished our fifth year in a row with $11,521 raised for the children and research at St. Jude.
Radiothon veteran Eric Scott was in charge of bringing you through the mornings during the event with the occasionally help of Sunny 101.9 on-air talent Walt Lindala and Mike Plourde. The guys did a great job waking people up in the morning and getting support from all over the Marquette area!
In the afternoons Luke Ghiardi took over with the occasional drop in from Ryan Ranguette and Walt Lindala. Ryan chatted with Luke about how he remembers his senior prom before Luke went on to talk about the St. Jude Teen Prom. Each year the hospital puts on a real prom for their teenage patients. Kids receive the full deal, salon stylists, limousines, and a night to remember!
Luke Noordyk and Joe Mueller finished out the evening for our last day of the St. Jude Radiothon pushing to get us to our $10,000 goal.
We couldn’t have done it without you all, thank you so much for your continued support. St. Jude has treated patients from all 50 states and around the world. The support we give St. Jude today goes on to help kids all over the world, including right here at home in Marquette. And because of you, families that bring their child to St. Jude never receive a bill.
