A dry cold front from Ontario passes over the Upper Peninsula Wednesday night, and following its passage high pressure builds over northern Lake Superior. This will lead to a strong north-to-south wind and production of lake effect clouds overnight. Flurries are also possible with the help of orographic lift in the Superior Upland.

Becoming mostly sunny into the daytime Wednesday as the high pressure enforces drier air into the region. This precedes a warm and dry trend over the U.P. into the spring 2021 weekend.

The dry spell is expected to end with system rain and snow events Monday through Wednesday.
