Marquette, MI – April 24, 2019 – In addition to being with you every day from 10am-3pm here on 103 WFXD, I am also the Sports Director at Great Lakes Radio. I love broadcasting local sports, and Marquette County is an embarrassment of riches in that area.
The spring sports season can be challenging however. Winter is a brutal season here, and usually causes many postponements and cancellations for spring sports that rely on playing outside.
So with baseball and softball starting up, I decided to take a ride this morning to the various fields that MSHS baseball and softball uses. I went to Hurley and Lions field as well as the Blues and Reds baseball diamonds. I was excited to see that there was no snow cover on any of the 3 fields.
Finally, the spring sports season is upon us.
