Marquette, Michigan – April 14, 2015 – Honor Credit Union reminds you that there’s still time to register for the 15th Annual YMCA Run/Walk taking place this Saturday, April 18th in Marquette. With groups for all ages, the entire family can participate in this race!
Kelsey Niemisto and the rest of the local Honor Credit Union team will be taking part in the YMCA Run/Walk. It’s just one of the ways Honor gives back to the communities they serve. 100% of net proceeds from this weekend’s race benefit the YMCA of Marquette County Annual Campaign Program so everyone in our community can participate at the YMCA regardless of their ability to pay!

You’ll want to get registered quickly, since there are no race day registrations, but you still have plenty of time to register online before race bag pickup. Once you’re already registered, you can pick your bag up at the Marquette YMCA on Friday (4-6 pm) and Saturday before the race (6:30-8:30 pm).
On Saturday morning, the races start with the 1 Mile Youth Run at 8:30 am, followed by the 5K, 10K and 10 Mile runners who take off at 9:15 am, and finally the Toddler Trot at 11 am (FREE to all youth participants and registration for the Toddler Trot takes place immediately prior to the race).
The course for all the races starts and finishes at the Y, then follows the bike path along Lake Superior and the 10 Mile race goes over about 3.8 miles of trail. Awards & Results begin at 11:30 am at the YMCA and trophies will be awarded for the overall top 3 males and females in each adult race. Ribbons for the top 3 male and female finishers in each age group and race will also be awarded and all youth participants will receive medals.
Don’t forget! Honor Credit Union will give $10 to every new Youth Account opened during the month of April! Anyone under age 22 is eligible, so bring your kids to one of the convenient Honor Credit Union locations in Negaunee, Marquette, or Gwinn today and set them on the right road to saving with a credit union membership.
