Ishpeming, Michigan – July 15th, 2015 – The family pooch turns 18 today… that’s… that’s… 126 in dog years! Okay, Buffy is a small Pekingese & Poodle mix… they say the small dogs live much longer than the larger dogs. Buffy is VERY small; she only weighs about 10 pounds. She loves to cuddle, loves popcorn, and can still smell from a mile away!
Buffy is losing her sight and hearing. BUT she can still smell Popcorn and Rice Crispies! She’s the kind of dog that LOVES to lay in your lap. Believe it or not she still attempts to climb stairs, too. Usually the family will catch her before she actually has a chance to do it! If you do the math Buffy is probably in her 90’s in dog years. Also a note: Buffy has never been fed table scraps. She strictly has a diet of dog food, rice crispies, and pop corn! Buffy could literally live off of popcorn…
I hope if I see my 90’s I’m in as good of shape that Buffy is in! For being 18 years old she’s still quite a whipper snapper! So, here’s a Happy Birthday to Buffy.. who turns 18 years old today! She was born on July 15th, 1997. My family bought her from the Pet Shop in downtown Ishpeming… which is no longer in business. Here’s to many more, Buffy!
