Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan – June 3rd, 2015 – I spent my weekend (this past weekend) in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. My folks were doing some camping in the Eastern U.P., so I decided to hop in my car and make the 3 hour drive to Sault Ste. Marie. We did some camping along the St. Mary’s River in Sault Ste. Marie. What a beautiful sight! The ore boats were going by steady as they were passing through the Soo Locks. The geese were found in every direction; and the seagulls couldn’t stop their yacking!
Despite the weather being cool on Saturday, I ended up spending most of the day outdoors. Sunday wasn’t too much better; highs in the upper 50’s AND Sunny. Looks could be deceiving! I didn’t think anything of a sunburn. Well, by the end of my trip I ended up getting the worst sunburn EVER! Man is this painful. It feels like my forehead and face are on fire. OUCH.
My folks and I enjoyed several restaurants and a campfire during the evening. My weekend in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan was complete. I enjoyed everything about my trip. The weather, food, and campfire couldn’t be beat. Well, the weather probably could. :-) The drive to Sault Ste. Marie is very relaxing, too. What an excellent trip! Sault Ste. Marie is basically the same distance from Marquette as Green Bay, Wisconsin is.
